There's an awful lot of Saturn games I could name, Panzer Dragoon Zwei tops them in my opinion
ff8 is one
and plus so is the entire tales of series
and also shining wisdom for saturn, castlevania loi,arc the lad, star ocean 3,and tons of others
Gish.
Rag Doll Kung Fu.
I think Coded Arms was underrated. As far as overrated games go, Perfect Dark for N64 was way too overrated, I hated that game.
most underated game: Zone Of The Enders 2: The Second Runner
no one bothered with the first one cause they were too busy play the MGS2 demo that came with it and thus they had no clue what this series offered :o
King Kong was overated a lot but it has'nt turned out good in reviews, and theres loads of PSP games like Coded Arms that were hyped up but failed miserably
So coded arms is pretty good? I was actually thinking of trying it out..Not sure if i want to buy...Zitat:

ANd the Perfect dArk for 64..Man i tried it and hated it..I wonder if they made it better on 360
Coded Arms is okay. It's just so corny sometimes. The whole idea of fighting in a virtual reality world... just kind of sucks.
Instead of killing enemies, you "delete" them.
Instead of picking up weapons, you pick up "plugins."
Stuff like that. I'd much rather grab a gun and kill someone, not get a plugin and delete the enemy.
=/
Two words: Vagrant Story
first of all coded arm sucks my friend has it and i cant freggin stand the controls .Zitat:

perfect dark was overated but was still alot more funner than goldeneye 64
and you guys think perfect dark was overated now you see how i feel about ff7
i now grasp the concept of what overated is
Coded Arms is awesome, especially multiplayer. Funny thing about N64 is I hated Perfect Dark, but I loved Goldeneye.Zitat:

Underated: Final Fantasy Tactics.
Overated: Chrono Trigger.
Red Faction and Red Faction 2 are the most underrated games ever... its probaly the best single player FPS ever made... and i just love the Geo Mod Engine :)
Yeah Red Faction 2 was awesome. :)
Another two words: F***ing Awesome.Zitat:

I reckon a very underrated game is Rez for the PS2, that game came out and then dissappeared. If you ever see it I highly recommend picking it up its from the same people that did lumines.
My most overrated game is gonna be very controversial. GTA San Andreas. Just so overrated, don't get me wrong it is good and I enjoyed it. I just don't think its as good as everyone goes on about.
I have coded arms, its way underrated. Single player coded arms is amazing once you get far enough....a little hard to find where the hell you are going though
Was Parappa underrated? I thought everybody liked that game. When I heard about it and it got a 9 or 10 (can't remember) in OPM, I rolled my eyes. Then I saw it at TRU and tried it, loved it, bought it, and still occasionally pop it in.
I think FF8 was overrated. Just kidding; I loved it. Still, I don't get why everybody disses FF7. Is it because it revolutionized the genre and everybody just can't bear to let go of their kiddy graphics, or do people just hate the story or what?
Coded arms? I tried playing a fps on N64 once and absolutely hated the controls. Have to have two sticks. No other way about it.
I agree GTASA was over-rated. It bugged me how I had to drive across the state for some missions. It's not fun to spend ten minutes driving to go pop some fool.
Most underrated game... hm... Halo!! Just kidding again. I think Bloodrayne is underrated. It's got a cult following, I guess, but I really like it. Graphics (models/textures) sucked and so did the animation. Level design and story were so-so. Controls were pretty good. Throw it all together and you get a ridiculously fun game... somehow. I never got tired of spearing a nazi with my Scorpion style chain-whip "GET OVER HERE!" kicking them to the ground, biting them, and watching Rayne practically dry-humping them while sucking their blood and moaning in pleasure. Um... no, I'm not a perv. It was also fun listening to nazis scream "I don't want to die!" in slow motion.
I don't know if Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes was underrated, but I don't know anybody who's played it and I never hear people talking about it. This game is my number 2 favorite game of all time. Everything from the first MGS is intact (except "You like Castlevaia, don't you?" Now, it's "You like Nintendo games don't you?" and the gameplay and graphics are updated to MGS2 style, including little things like doing pullups to increase your grip strength. Then there's the cutscenes. Can't remember the name of the director, but he's some Hong Kong movie director if memory serves. The action is ridiculously over-the-top, but not so much that it's an irritation. Awesome things like Liquid firing a missile from the Hind D, Snake jumping up, actually stepping on the missile as it speeds by and using it to jump higher where he fires the final shot, killing the Hind. A fight breaks out between Snake and the Ninja and all kinds of insanity insues, including Ninja jumping up to the ceiling, cutting a chunk out of it with his sword, and doing a backflip as he falls back to the floor and kicking the chunk at Snake, who dodges in equally dramatic fashion. Funny things like Snake getting all pissed off, kicking in frustration, and putting his gun to President Baker's head when he tells him he forgot Meryl's frequency. The game is freakin' awesome! I bought a cube just to play this game and I don't regret it at all.
Oh yeah how could I forget Halo as the most overrated game. That easily tops GTASA. I love playing halo but its the fact that so many people are ready to c** in their pants just by hearing the name that really puts me off. But I suppose we should all be thankful really you see I reckon if halo had never come out the xbox would have disappeared of the planet and there would be no 360.
completly agree with you save the kidsZitat:

Ohhhohhhhhh I Know One Gitaroo Man For Ps2 That Game Was Awesome But Basically No One Knew What It Was
I liked Parappa. There was a craze over it for a while.
What kills Coded Arms is lack of wireless infrastructure support.
FF7 is more overrated then Halo. FF7 is ok but nothing special. Thats the most overrated game.Zitat:
Zitat von nvqphil
Yeah but not in my opinion. Which is what this thread is about. I rate FF8 better than 7 any way.Zitat:
Zitat von SovietSlayer
I knew as soon as I saw you had replied you would be defending Halo. I didn't say I didn't like Halo, just that its overrated in my opinion.
i dont know why but x men next dimension for gamecube is my fav game so i think it was underated i spent 1324 hours on it just playing it was my fist gamecube game that why i will never trade in my gamecube
FF7 was revolutionary for it's time in terms of graphics and the particular style of RPG gameplay it used. It was also known for it's "size" spanning several CDs.Zitat:
Zitat von SovietSlayer
At the time it was the schiznit. Nowadays everyone is "used" to graphic styles and gameplay like that.
Thats very true which I think that would make it something very special. Whereas Halo is a first person shooter and (in my opinion again) didn't really break any new ground. Okay it looked good but apart from that what was so great about it compared to any other FPS. Can't be the controls give me USB keyboard and Mouse support plugged into my PS2 playing Red Faction 2 anyday.Zitat:
Zitat von iball
My opinion is mouse/keyboard = crap
Halo didnt need to break any new grounds or anything. It was fun and that is the most important thing any game can have.
The best keyboard/mouse FPS player will pwn the best console controller FPS gamer on the planet everytime.
Why? Literally ten fingers can rest on ten different keys for instant response to events versus having to move fingers around to hit keys on a controller resulting in slower response times for the controller gamer.
I use a combo of a mouse and special gaming keypad. I've seen people use nothing more than a mouse and a USB numeric keypad and win time after time after time. The *******s. :)
Only because mouse is click and shoot. OMG thats the best fun in world. While with the analog stick it's actully takes skill to aim.
Winning is winning. ;)Zitat:

i never asked what game is overrated.
but if you must know i think legend of zelda OOT is overrated
you are going to die now!(runs and grabs the master sword)
i never said i hated it, i said it's overrated. i liked MM betterZitat:
Ugh, I thought Majora's Mask sucked. It was way too confusing.
OT- iball, your sig is awesome, and totally right. I've been saying the same thing since I joined this site.
I dont think any player brought up on console fps shooters will truly understand or appreciate where fps's are meant to be played. The precision of a mouse is insane compared to a controller. Ironically it makes the precision of a controller feel like a peice of crap. The keyboard is where i can see problems arising, but you get used to it and it becomes second nature. Maybe its just me, because i started on the pc with fps games, but i dont see any console games coming anywhere near the precision the pc controls have to offer. Now onto the discussion...I believe that klonoa might have been underated. Its childish but it was a great game nonetheless. Panzer dragoon zwei and orta were both underated as well.Zitat:
Zitat von SovietSlayer
I agree, best sig i've seen in a whileZitat:

Yeah I agree with you on klonoa that game rocks. another one I thought of that was underrated was tombi (tomba in the states) that game never did anything over here.Zitat:
